Service Record: Enlisted into Co. C in Carroll, Va. on 25 Jul 1861; promoted to full Sgt. on 13 May 1862; present through end of the war. Wife recv’d widow’s pension after the war. Cause of death listed as accidental gun shot wound to leg which had to be amputated, but resulting infection killed him (after the war).
