From findagrave:  “He is now past 64 years of age; the picture of health-cheerful and genial-tills the soil, makes his own independent living and is active in all business matters.  In July 1900 he attended a Reunion of Confederate Veterans. His service is shown to be in Company A 14th Miss. Regiment.”
