A on 15 Aug 1862; wounded in action at Chancellorsville on 3 May 1863; sent to Wayside Hosp #9 on 8 May 1863; shows he was then transferred to Winder Hosp , Richmond on 16 May 1863; then sent to Farmville General Hosp on 3 Aug 1863 and board of surgeons stated his wound was from concussion from shell to right foot that partially blew off his small toe; mentions diptheria too; given 30 days furlough on 8 Sep 1863 from Farmville to go home to heal; returned 15 Nov 1863; present on rolls until captured at Petersburg on 2 Apr 1865; sent to Pt. Lookout, Md prison on 4 Apr 1865; finally released on 27 Jun 1865 to go home ( listed as Lt complexion, brown hair, blue-grey eyes, 5’8″ tall)
