B; promoted to 1st Cpl; Severely wounded at battle Gaines’ Mill on 26 Jun 1862; admitted to General Hospital, Howard’s Grove, Richmond on 27 Jun 1862; left hand partially amputated on 29 Jun 1862; transferred to Banner Hospital on 14 Jul 1862;  paid $51 dollars on 29 Jul 1862; NFR but likely sent home and discharged.  Allen is the younger brother of Armstrong Clark (26th NC Infantry).

Cemetery / Burial:   Burial site unknown, died in Smythe County, VA, Seven Mile Ford Rd on farm; Farm has not been located

Soldier Info:  He married Lydia Blevins on 5 Apr 1862, while in the service; his military service record states he was of dark complexion, light hair, blue eyes, 5’4″ in height; Born in Ashe Co., NC in 1836; Died in Smythe Co., VA in 1918
