Service Record: Enlisted in Co. E on 13 Mar 1863 (supplied his own horse); captured at Beverly, WV on 29 Oct 1864, sent to Clarksburg, WV on 2 Nov 1864, then to Wheeling, WV military prison, then on to Camp Chase prison, OH on 29 Nov 1864. There is no further record except he was there likely with his younger brother, Isaac L. Chrisman. It is very likely that both brothers died at Camp Chase.
