A on 15 Mar 1863.  Captured in trenches at Petersburg, Va. in 22 Aug 1864 and transported to City Point, Va.; took the Oath on 9 Sep 1864; sent to Old Capitol Prison 12 Sep 1864; sent to Old Capitol Prison hospital b/w 17-19 Sep with chronic diarrhea, RTD 19 Sep 1864; Sent to Elmira, NY prison on 27 Oct 1864; released 6 May 1865; Postmaster after the war.
