Service Record: Enlisted in Co. A on 15 Aug 1862; Wounded in action at Bunker Hill, Va. and sent to Hosp.; captured and POW at Gettysburg on 3 Jul 1863; taken to Ft. McHenry, Md. then to Ft. Delaware prison; transferred to Pt. Lookout, Md. 18 Oct 1863; released on exchange on 18 Feb 1865 at Ft. Delaware, then sent to Camp Lee, Richmond on 23 Feb 1865 for exchange.

Cemetery / Burial:  Possibly Freel Bare Family Cemetery with his brothers, Wagoner, Ashe, Co., NC

Grave Marker:  unknown

Soldier Info:  Born in 1842 in NC; Died in 1870 in NC; Shortly after the war in December of 1865, Farrow married Rebecca Sheets. Five years later in October of 1870, Farrow was killed in a shooting accident at Cicero Bare’s House. Alot of this family was buried in Freel Bare Family Cemetery, near Wagoner, Ashe Co., North Carolina
